Career:

Todd started his junior career at Prestonwood Country Club in Cary, North Carolina, and Green Hope High School. He won the North Carolina High School Athletic Association (NCHSAA) 4A classification individual championship three times at Green Hope High, winning his freshman, junior, and senior seasons.

The golfer was a part of the team from the University of Georgia that won the National Championship in 2005. He was a four-time All-American as a collegiate golfer. In 2008, he joined the Nationwide Tour. Following that, he won the Utah Championship finishing 19th which earned him a spot on the 2009 PGA Tour.

Professional career:

In 2014, he won his first PGA Tour event at the HP Byron Nelson Championship. He entered the final round with a share of the lead before recording a bogey-free, final-round 66 to win by two shots over Mike Weir.

Todd’s second PGA Tour win was in 2019. At the Bermuda Championship. Trailed by two strokes entering the final round, he was the largest deficit faced by a winner with one round to play since J.T. Poston at the 2019 Wyndham Championship.

He had his second constructive win on PGA Tour and 3rd sequentially, at Mayakoba Golf Classic only after 15 days. With this, he became the first player since Bryson DeChambeau in 2017-18 to win back-to-back tournaments and the first since Xander Schauffele in 2018-19 to win back-to-back starts.

The star also won two Web.com tours. His first win was in 2008 at Utah Championship, which was also his first-ever tour victory. The second would be Stadion Classic at UGA in 2013, which was his second career title. He collected the win when tournament officials canceled the final round after a soaking rain Saturday night and early Sunday that made the University of Georgia GC unplayable.
