Age

Tyson is at the peak of his career at 33. He has never been one of those boxers who fight several times a year.

He takes his training seriously and cherry picks his opponents. With the kind of conditioning he has shown in his recent fights, Fury can box at the elite level for many more years to come.

However, he has hinted that he may hang up the gloves after he wins one or two major fights.

Tyson Fury’s Net worth and Salary

As of 2021, Tyson is worth around $57 million (just under £42 million). He reportedly made $7million of the total worth from endorsements.

Tyson’s company accounts show that the boxer earned around £57.35m from fights he featured in between February 2019 and 2020 from fights.

The heavyweight doesn’t have a fixed salary. He pocketed $30 million from the trilogy fight against Wilder. Tyson was allotted 60% of the total earning from the pay-per-view, while 40% was reserved for the Bronze Bomber, who was paid approximately $20 million in total.

Height

Tyson stands tall at 6 ft 9 in which gives him a reasonable advantage over his opponents.

Nickname

Tyson’s nickname stems from his Irish roots. Both his mother and father’s forefathers were Irish travelers who were practically gypsies. The WBC king often takes pride in being called the Gypsy King.

“I am a gypsy and that’s it,” the 33-year-old said back in 2016. “I will always be a gypsy, I’ll never change. I will always be fat and white and that’s it. I am the champion, yet I am thought of as a bum.”

Recent News about Tyson Fury

Tyson is currently not too much worried about who he is going to fight next. He is waiting for a showdown between Oleksandr Usyk and Anthony Joshua to unfold in early 2022.

The winner of the Usyk vs Joshua is likely to fight the Gypsy King. WBC interim heavyweight champion, Dillian Whyte, is also a potential opponent for Tyson.

He outclasses Wider in the trilogy fight to back himself as the best fighter in the heavyweight division.

Tyson is currently busy campaigning for his younger brother Tommy Fury’s upcoming fight against Jake Paul.
