It’s fight week in Vegas. Not the fight many had planned on seeing, Pacquiao vs Ugas welterweight title fight is still the one that demands your attention.

Looking at the results of a recent poll conducted between the boxing experts, Pac Man is expected to gobble up one more rival before he bids farewell to the boxing world. Of all the 20 experts on the poll, 19 picked the Filipino legend as a potential winner while only one vote in support of Ugas as being able to pull out a win against the former eight-division champ. The fight is thought by a couple of experts to be a close one, with high chances of the Cuban star deserving a win but ending up not getting it.

Pacquiao vs Ugas Prediction:

Manny Pacquiao is the firm favourite in this match. Even at an age of 42 years, Pac-Man’s experience, his amazing footwork, and his steadiness have managed to make him a popular pick among boxing fans.

Ugas has a few of the plus points which include his height and reach. These attributes help him have a puncher’s chance. The Cuban is 5’9″ with a 6’9″ reach, which gives him a four-inch height and two-inch reach advantage over his opponent.

The 35-year-old will most likely try to out-point Pacquiao, but he doesn’t have the footwork as that of Pacquiao.

Pacquiao has plenty of motivation to win this fight as his 43rd birthday is approaching in December and this could be his last bout. He must be ready to add another title to his resume before his retrial.

Though losing a bit on size and reach, but power and speed of the Phillipinian Senator are on another level, making his fights worth watching.

Pacquiao recent comments reveal he is not happy with Ugas

Pac-Man won the WBA welterweight world title in July 2019. WBA made a rather unfair decision by stripping Pacquiao of the title in January due to inactivity due to the inevitable pandemic situation.

The WBA elevated secondary titleholder, Yordenis Ugas by giving him the title Pacquiao won from Thurman and that too without giving the Filipino a chance to defend it. “(Ugas) got my belt without fighting me. It’s kind of embarrassing,” Pacquiao talked to a small group of reporters.

On his grand arrival on Tuesday, the great fighter explained how this was an unfair decision by WBC: “My title was given to Ugas. That is not how you become a champion. You earn it by winning it inside the ring.”

“We will fight for the title. That is the proper way a champion is crowned,” said the boxing star as he is very much determined to win back his title in the welterweight title fight.
