Jack Paul, a social media star will fight a rematch against the former UFC welterweight champion on Saturday Night at the Amalie Arena. Today, we will know everything about the Paul vs Woodley 2 fight here.
This is the last and best chance for Tyron Woodley to take revenge for August. He lost the first match against Jake Paul in a split decision. The match was very exciting, where in the 4th round Paul survived barely by getting a big right cross, where he needed the rope to hold himself. Woodley couldn’t create many strong punches to take Pul Down. It was Paul, who won the match with judges score of judges’ scores of 77-75 and 78-74.
It can be different this time. UFC fighter Woodley is pretty confident this time. This can be the biggest opportunity for this former UFC champion. He needs to recall his strong big punches, with which he can knock Paul easily in the early stages of the match. Woodley improved his strike count after the loss in his training. He believes he needed to through more shots to win this bout against Paul.
What has been said?
“I didn’t need to,” Woodley said. “We already did it once. I know the opponent very well and they really just needed a yes from me. They got that very quickly.”
“It wasn’t a ton of volume for me from a boxing standpoint but from an MMA standpoint, it was more than what I was doing in my last fight,” Woodley said.
“So, I have to look at it as a blessing in disguise and not be so hard on myself. We looked at the strike count from the last fight and we have to match that every round in training.”
“It’s not just thrown to throw, it’s shots that I saw that I could’ve thrown, that I didn’t. It’s making it make sense and making him pay the consequence.”
Jack Paul turned off the critics of fighting a real boxer by defeating Woodly in their last fight in August. If he wins this one, he can establish his ability and skills to the world. Though there was a controversy that Woodley should have won the first fight in the slit decision. Paul will have to bring an end to all these trash talks by winning the rematch again.
“For me, the biggest thing to gain is proving people wrong from last time that thought he won, which is hilarious – including the judge who made it a split decision,” Paul said in a virtual news conference.
” Clearly, he was at some different fight. But now, I’m just going to back that up and go and knock this guy out. It just goes to show when I say, ‘Anyone, anytime, anyplace,’ I mean it.” He added.
“And most fighters aren’t like that. And for me to take whoever, wherever, whenever, this early on in my career, doing eight-round fights in my fifth fight, it’s unheard of.”

Prediction of the Fight:
Tyron Woodly is a senior fighter and he has way more experience than Jake Paul. But, at his age, his physical ability will decline to take new skills. We saw a reflection of that where we saw him lose against the newcomer. Jake Paul is young. Paul observed Woodly’s power in the first match. He will need to use those experiences against Woodley and give him a tight fight. He may win the rematch on Saturday night.
Prediction: Jake Paul by unanimous decision.
This will be a revenge match for the MMA start Woodley. Paul will need to be consistent and dodge the powerful punches from Woodley to bring the match in his favor. So, if you are a boxing fan, call your friends, order some pizza and catch all the actions live.
