Dontay Wilder (42-2-1, 41 KOs) became the WBC world heavyweight champion in 2015, defeating Bermane Stiverne. He defended the title 10 times, including a draw against Tyson Fury.
In a rematch in February 2020, Wilder suffered a TKO defeat to Fury. After suffering his second consecutive defeat against Tyson Fury via stoppage in October last year, Wilder seriously considered retirement.
