In early 2022, Suchandra appeared in Bengali Television serial ‘Gouri Elo,’ which aired on Zee Bangla and played a supporting role in this television serial. She further appeared in a crime-based Bengali TV show ‘Bengal Crime’.

On the 20th of May 2023, after finishing her shoot, Suchandra Dasgupta was returning back to her home when she met with an accident. She decided to use a bike-sharing app for riding her home back after her shoot finished.
As per reports, while Suchandra was near the area of Ghosh Paraa, a cyclist suddenly appeared in front of their motorcycle, and the biker lost control of the vehicle but Suchandra who was wearing a helmet fell on a concrete road and was run over by a truck on the BT Road at Baranagar, West Bengal.
Unfortunately, Suchandra Gupta died on the spot and this news is trending over social media platforms.
