Jay Randolph Jr Obituary and death have shocked many fans as he was among the best sportcaster with a more than fifty-year career.

Jennings “Jay” Randolph Jr. is an American sportscaster with a more than fifty-year career. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s, Randolph worked for N.B.C. Sports television, announcing sports such as the National Football League, Major League Baseball, college football, college basketball, the P.G.A. Tour and LPGA golf.

Randolph worked as a play-by-play announcer for the Cincinnati Reds in 1988 and the Florida Marlins from 1993 to 1996, as well as hosting the Marlins’ T.V. pregame show from 1997 to 2000. He eventually worked as a golf broadcaster for CNBC and The Golf Channel. 


From 2007 until 2010, he was the voice of the St. Louis Cardinals on KSDK television. On the day of his final Cardinal broadcast, October 2, 2010, Jay was honored by the team by being chosen to throw out the ceremonial first pitch to longtime friend and radio colleague Mike Shannon.

Randolph was a features reporter and interviewer for Fox Sports Midwest’s Cardinals broadcasts in 2011.

“Jay led an incredible life, and we were all so fortunate to be a part of it,” Greene continued. “They were unforgettable occasions.”
