Around 1995, Taylor and Jim Root reformed Stone Sour and relaunched the band, performing in the Des Moines region and working on a tape.

He joined Slipknot as a replacement vocalist in 1997 and has since released six studio albums with the band.

“All Hope is Gone,” Slipknot’s first number one album on the Billboard 200, was released in 2008. The CD also marks the band’s final appearance with its original configuration.
