Eiza González Reyna was born in Caborca, Sonora, México, on January 30th, 1990. She was raised by a family of celebrities like her mother Glenda Reyna worked as a Mexican model. Eiza’s father Carlos González died after a bike accident when she was just 12 years old.
She grew up with her older brother Yulen González Reyna. In terms of education, Eiza attended Edron Academy before enrolling at the American School Foundation in Mexico.
Eiza studied at M&M studio in Mexico City from 2003 to 2004. When she was 14 years old she was accepted to take acting classes at Televisa’s school called Centro de Educación Artística where she studied for about three years.
Eiza caught the attention of Pedro Damián, a director and producer who discovered her while she was in school. Pedro encouraged her to pursue a career in the field of acting. Later, at the age of 16, she became cast in the children’s telenovela titled “Floricienta”.
In 2007, Eiza had her first lead role in the popular Mexican musical telenovela called “Lola…Érase una vez”. Her performance as Lola earned her several accolades as well as it was well-praised.
