On December 21st, 1996, Kaitlyn Rochelle Dever was born in Phoenix, Arizona, USA. She is the eldest daughter of Tim and Kathy Dever. Both of her parents are Figure skaters. Kaitlyn grew up with two younger sisters Mady and Jane Dever.
She discovered her passion for performing arts at the age of just five. Her parents were very supportive so they sent their daughter to an acting school. Before becoming an actor, she played a number of sports during her school years including gymnastics, skating, and ballet.
The family eventually moved to Dallas when her father Tim got the voice role in the children’s TV series “Barney the Purple Dinosaur.” There Kaitlyn enrolled at the Dallas Young Actors Studio which was a one-month acting program. She attended the school until the grade 4th and later has been homeschooled.
Kaitlyn began appearing in TV commercials when she was studying in school, and soon the family moved to Los Angeles. In 2009 she had her first notable role as Gwen Thompson in the girl series “An American Girl: Chrissa Stands Strong” in its fifth season.
