RideLondon 2022, the eighth edition of the RideLondon festival, is back in London and Essex for the first time since 2019. Thousands of cyclists are expected to ride through traffic-free routes of 100, 60, and 30 miles on Sunday, 29 May 2022.

The third and final day of the RideLondon festival will see three events on Sunday. Here we have the RideLondon 2022 Sunday’s events, start time, routes, and know from where you can watch the cyclists.

RideLondon 2022 Events and Start Time:

We are down to the final day of the RideLondon festival. The final day of the World’s biggest cycling festival will feature three events – RideLondon-Essex, FreeCycle, and RideLondon Classique.

1. RideLondon-Essex

The RideLondon-Essex has three parts in itself. The most exciting 100 miles ride, the family-friendly 30 miles, and 60 miles ride. The festival ensures that no one misses the opportunity to saddle up on the biggest annual cycling festival.

RideLondon-Essex 100 Miles Routes and Start Time:

The RideLondon-Essex, 100 miles ride, will go underway on Sunday, 29 May 2022, at 6:00 am BST. It will start from the Victoria Embankment and finish at the Tower Bridge.

The 100-mile route is the most iconic event of the competition. It has been a part of this festival since its opening year in 2013.

Routes:

The RideLondon-Essex 100 miles will see participants set off from Victoria Embankment in central London and into Essex via the historic Epping Forest. Riders will glide past some picturesque towns and villages from Essex, including Ongar, Fyfield, the Rodings, and Great Dunmow. After that, the riders will head back towards central London and finish at Tower Bridge.

RideLondon-Essex 30 Miles Routes and Start Time:

  • Date: Sunday 29 May 2022
  • Start: Victoria Embankment, from 06:00 am
  • Finish: Tower Bridge, at 10:00 am

Route:

An accessible, achievable course that sets off from central London heads up to the Essex border and scoots back to central London for the finish

RideLondon-Essex 60 Miles Routes and Start Time:

  • Date: Sunday 29 May 2022
  • Start: Victoria Embankment, from 06:00
  • Finish: Tower Bridge, from 10:00

Route:

A stunning course that sets off from central London and heads out into Essex countryside before returning to central London for the finish

2. FreeCycle

RideLondon FreeCycle is the most beautiful event of the day. It’s an opportunity to ride on traffic-free routes for all ages, abilities, and backgrounds. The length of the route is 8-mile through central London. It’s a unique opportunity to explore the iconic landmarks of London riding your cycle. Again, it’s a completely free competition to join.

  • Price: free

3. RideLondon Classique

Sunday’s third and final event will be stage 3 of the RideLondon Classique competition. RideLondon Classique is a UCI Women’s WorldTour road race featuring the world’s best women cyclists.

The final stage of the competition will begin at Victoria Embankment and end at the same place.

  • Finish: Victoria Embankment, 5:35 pm – 5:50 pm

You can catch the live-action of the RideLondon 2022 on TV via BBC Two in the UK.

You can watch the highlights of the RideLondon-Essex 100-mile, 60-mile, and 30-mile on BBC Two. They will also air the highlights of the FreeCycle event.

The live stream of the RideLondon Classique competition will be broadcast on BBC Two. To watch the events, you can tune in to BBC Two from 3:00 pm BST to 6:10 pm BST on Sunday, 29 May 2022.

Eurosport and Global Cycling Network will broadcast the event in North America and Asia.
