Georgia vs TCU Preview
After thrilling doubleheaders on New Year’s eve in the CFP semi-finals, Georgia Bulldogs and TCU Horned Frogs confirmed their spot for the championship.
No. 1 Georgia beat no. 4 Ohio State by the narrowest margin in the Peach Bowl, 42-41. The Buckeyes’ last-second field goal and their hopes flew wide left as the clock hit midnight. The Georgia Bulldogs will look to clinch their second consecutive national title. They beat Alabama 33-18 in the 2022 CFP Championship game.
Elsewhere, no. 3 TCU made it difficult early on for the Big Ten Champions no. 2 Michigan. The Michigan Wolverines attempted a furious comeback but fell short by 51-45 in an intense battle. What a story it has been for the new head coach of TCU, Sonny Dykes. He has led TCU to their first-ever National Championship game.
The Horned Frogs boys will go all guns with their Heisman Trophy runner-up quarterback Max Duggan, and NFL prospects in running back Kendre Miller, and wide receiver Quentin Johnston. On another side of the field will be another Heisman Trophy finalist Stetson Bennett, the quarterback of the Georgia Bulldogs.
