Deepak Chahar was born on 7 August 1992, in Agra, Uttar Pradesh, India. Chahar plays for Rajasthan in domestic cricket. He made his first-class debut against Hyderabad in the 2010-11 Ranji Trophy, taking 8 wickets for 10 runs. Due to his brilliant performance, Hyderabad’s team had to end their innings with just 21 runs.
International Career
Deepak Chahar made his T20I debut for India on 8 July 2018, with a match against England. Two and a half months later, he made his ODI debut against Afghanistan on 25 September 2018.
In 2019, he was selected for the Indian Twenty20 squad for a series against West Indies. Chahar played in the final match of the series and was the Man of the Match after taking 3 wickets for 4 runs.
Chahar got a chance to play for India again in a T20I series against Bangladesh. In the final match of the series, he took 6 wickets for 7 runs from 3.2 overs. That was the best bowling figure in a men’s T20I. Chahar also took the first hat-trick by a bowler for India in T20I.
