Mohammad Ashraful was born on 7 July 1984, in Brahmanbaria, Bangladesh. A Bangladeshi professional cricketer, Mohammad Ashraful was one of the promising cricketers of Bangladesh.
Ashraful made his debut on 22 November 2000, playing for the Dhaka Metropolis cricket team. Three days later Ashraful made his List A debut, again playing for Dhaka Metropolis. Over the course of the 2000–01 season, he played ten first-class matches, scoring 585 runs at an average of 30.78.
Mohammad Ashraful made his ODI debut against Zimbabwe on 11 April 2001. 5 months later, Ashraful made his Test debut on 6 September 2001 against Sri Lanka. Ashraful joined the T20I side for Bangladesh on 1 September 2007, with a match against Kenya.
Mohammad Ashraful was one of the promising cricketers of Bangladesh. He has played 177 ODI games, scoring 3,468 runs at an average of 22.24. He made 20 half-centuries and 3 centuries in his ODI career.
