Ultimate Team is arguably the most important game mode in FC series’ history, boasting both rich content and competitive play. Consequently, it consistently attracts a large number of players and receives special attention from the developers.

To ensure the mode’s continued appeal, it undergoes comprehensive updates with each new release. For example, FC 26, which will launch at the end of September, boasts improvements to both gameplay and visuals and sound effects.

Official deep dives and related videos detail FIFA 26 Ultimate Team updates in incredible detail, even to the point of being overwhelming. It can be difficult for you to understand how to prepare for the upgraded FUT experience based on all the information.

But don’t worry! IGGM.com will provide you with all the necessary update information to help you enjoy the best Ultimate Team experience possible upon release!

1. Complete Road To FC 26 Evolution

Many players planning to join FUT 26 likely also own FC 25, especially if you’re a die-hard fan of the series. Therefore, before 26 launches, it’s best to complete Road to FC 26 Evolution event within 25.

This event is designed to help you stay engaged during the transition period while completing missions to upgrade and strengthen existing players.

This evolution improves players’ speed, dribbling ability, and physical stats, making them elite players in their respective positions.

This will save you time when FC 26 launches, allowing you to build your team more quickly and start farming FC 26 coins through matches faster than others.

It will also strengthen the connection between the old and new generations, extending the lifespan of EA FC series while maximizing your anticipation for the new season.

However, there are many players available in the game. To maximize the effectiveness of this evolution event, it is recommended that you prioritize the following players for evolution:

  • Wil Trapp: 96
  • Crystal Dunn: 96
  • Isak Toure: 96
  • Bobby Charlton: 96
  • Giorgio Mamardashvili: 96
  • Skelly Alvero: 95
  • Bruno Fernandes: 96
  • Kevin De Bruyne: 96
  • N’Golo Kante: 96
  • Moises Caicedo: 96
  • Ruben Loftus-Cheek: 96
  • Ruben Dias: 96
  • Sergej Milinkovic-Savic: 95
  • Ruud Gullit: 94
  • Patrick Vieira: 94
  • Vanja Milinkovic-Savic: 93

2. Pre-Order Ultimate Edition

If most of your opponents have a chance to complete the evolution event, and if you’re looking for more early advantages in FC 26 to get an extra leg up on your FC 26 Ultimate Team, grabbing Ultimate Edition is a surefire way to do just that.

First, this edition comes with 7 days of early access, meaning you have more time to optimize your team than owners of Standard Edition and and you can buy FC 26 coins earlier to sign premium players first.

Additionally, this edition offers additional benefits, including:

  • 99 Shooting Player Evolution
  • 1 ICON Player Pick (93+ OVR, untradeable)
  • Up to 6,000 FC Points over two months (4,500 on Switch platforms)

While these benefits are appealing, there are still limited players will choose Ultimate Edition. So, if your budget allows, it’s a great way to quickly get ahead of the competition.

3. Mastering Useful Settings

Unlike real football, winning in FUT requires adjusting the mode settings to optimize or best suit your situation, in addition to your skill level and the abilities of your players and teams.

Thus, we recommend enabling Precision Shooting right now. This setting provides a visible guideline and increased power, helping you better control your shots and score more points – meaning more FUT 26 coins.

Note that this setting is more suited to long-range shots and is more challenging and risky. However, if you can pull it off, the rewards are well worth it. So, if you haven’t tried it before, start practicing now.

To enable this setting:

  1. Access the in-game gameplay settings menu.
  2. Scroll down to find Shot Assistance option.
  3. Change the setting from Assisted to Precision.

It’s worth noting that we originally planned to disable Timed Finishing upon entering EA FC 26, as it doesn’t provide as effective shot assist as Precision Shooting. Fortunately, the new game has removed this feature.

Another setting to keep an eye on is the in-game camera angle. FUT 26 doesn’t use a first-person perspective, but rather the exclusive wide-angle view offered by UT Competitive Camera. Adjusting your camera angle to suit your needs will ensure a better gaming experience.

Here are the steps to change your camera settings:

  1. Enter Main Menu.
  2. Select Customize.
  3. Choose Settings.
  4. Select Game Settings.
  5. Enter the camera section to begin adjusting settings.

If you still want to adjust the camera angle after a match has started, pause the game, then enter Settings menu and follow the normal steps.

4. Enabling Gold Team

Gold Team is a group of powerful players with high OVR. While you might not think it’s necessary to utilize them right from the start in FC 26, it’s one of the best ways to gain an advantage quickly.

So if you’re holding on playing FIFA 25 before the new game launches, try your best to experience Ultimate Team with your gold squad and use those players to quickly complete the daily Griddy to Glory Cup missions.

This mission offers either five or ten OVR 99 player items, and you can choose one as your reward! To access Griddy to Glory Cup:

  1. Open Live tab in the game.
  2. Find Griddy to Glory daily play option in the daily objective.
  3. View and complete the designated mission.
  4. Claim your reward.

5. Get Used To Manual Defending In Advance

A major change in FUT 26 is that you won’t have the same defensive support as before, relying more on manual control. This means you’ll need to control your center backs more frequently, and maintaining your team’s shape will be more difficult.

So, to ensure you’re not caught off guard by this change in Ultimate Team in the new game, it’s important to practice and adapt now.

These are our tips for getting the best experience and a competitive edge in FC 26 Ultimate Team! If you’re planning on continuing to play the series, be sure to try them all out!
