Aston Villa is finally decided that Steven Gerrard will be their new head coach for upcoming matches. There was a lot of rumor going on in the past few days about firing Dean Smith from the head position of Villa. The team wasn’t performing well under the observation of Smith. The last few matches of Villa were very poor. From players arranging to play style everything was a bit chaotic. The absence of good managerial skills was clearly visible. Aston Villa gives their head coach sits to the former captain and midfielder of the English team and Liverpool club, Steven Gerrard. He is certainly a great man for this position. The man has a record to bring up fallen clubs into a successful position. Gerrard was one of the best midfielders of his time. He once dominated the football under his foot.
Garrard is also very successful as a manager too. He did a great job with his previous club.
Previously Gerrard was in the Rangers club from 2018. He proved himself a great manager there. Last season, he won the Scottish Premiership cup with the team. Gerrard made leave the team at this top of the board in the league semifinal against the Hibernian on Sunday week.
Gerrard’s journey in the Villa will start with the match at home to Brighton a week on Saturday. Smith had to leave the Villa home cause he lost five games in a row. The Aston boys are now in the 16th position on the table. They are hoping to raise themselves two points above the relegation zone. Gerrard’s job with the team is to secure that position Villa.
All the inner and external people of the Aston Villa team are very optimistic about appointing Gerrard. Gerrard got the deal with Villa for three and a half years. In this years Aston Villa probably get back on their feet once again.

Purslow’s talk said about appointing Gerrard, “It has been very clear in our discussions with him that Steven’s coaching ambitions, philosophy, and values entirely match those of Aston Villa.”
“We are excited he has agreed to lead us in the next phase of our ambitious plans as we look to build on the progress made since Nassef Sawiris and Wes Edens took over the club in 2018.”
