The English Premier League Gameweek 1 is almost done and dusted and we have a lot of things going around. Liverpool barely drew 2-2 against the newly promoted Fulham. Tottenham Hotspurs hit 4 against Southampton to claim the top spot. The Gunners are off to a good start. Chelsea got the job done against Everton. Erik ten Hag’s era starts with a defeat and the reigning champions Manchester City to play on Sunday to wrap up gameweek 1.

Fulham 2-2 Liverpool

Liverpool visited Craven Cottage to open their campaign against newly promoted Fulham. Liverpool barely got a point as they drew 2-2. Klopp’s men found themselves behind twice. Mitrovic opened the scoring for Fulham in the first half. Darwin Nunez replaced Firmino in the second half and scored one back in the 64th minute.

When Van Dijk conceded a penalty, Mitrovic made no mistake to make it 2-1 for Fulham. However, Salah made it 2-2 in the 81st minute to take away a point from the clash.

Liverpool’s new signing Darwin Nunez scored a goal and provided for Salah coming in the second half. Mohamed Salah scored a goal and assisted another. It was Mohamed Salah’s 6th consecutive season to score at least a goal on the season opener.

Tottenham 4-1 Southampton

Tottenham Hotspurs scored 4 past Southampton in their season opener to grab the top spot on the table. James Ward-Prowse found the opening goal to give Southampton the lead. However, it was all Spurs after that. Ryan Sessegnon and Eric Dier scored in the first half to make it 2-1. Dejan Kulusevski was excellent and scored the final goal after Southampton conceded an own goal. Kulusevski was the king of the match with a goal and an assist.

Crystal Palace 0-2 Arsenal

The Gunners are off to a good start to the season. They kept a clean sheet at Selhurst Park. Gabriel Martinelli scored in the 20th minute to make it 0-1 for Arsenal. Though Gabriel Jesus didn’t find the back of the net, another new signing Zhincenko assisted Martinelli’s goal. Marc Guechi scored a goal at the wrong end that sealed the match 0-2 in favor of Arsenal.

Everton 0-1 Chelsea

Chelsea got the job done with a 0-1 victory at Goodison Park against Everton. Kai Havertz played as the main striker alongside Mount and new signing Raheem Sterling. Ben Chilwell started at left wing-back. Kalidou Koulibaly was at the heart of the backline.

A Doucoure conceded a penalty deep into the first half which Jorginho converted into the only goal.

Man Utd 1-2 Brighton

The new era under Erik ten Hag started with a nightmare on Sunday. Manchester United lost 1-2 against Brighton at Old Trafford. Cristiano Ronaldo started on the bench and was brought in the second half. Maguire and Lisandro Martinez started at the center of the defense.

Pascal Gross scored twice in the first half to make it a 0-2 nightmare for the Red Devils. Mac Allister scored an own goal and Erik ten Hag’s players were not on the target.

West Ham vs Manchester City 

The English Champions are at the London Stadium to start their campaign against West Ham to wrap up gameweek 1 on Sunday. The match will go underway at 4:30 pm BST on Sunday, 7 August.

Erling Haaland starts as the main striker alongside Foden, Grealish, and Kevin de Bryune. Bernardo Silva, Mahrez, and Julian Alvarez start on the bench. Ruben Dias and Ake are at the center of the backline.
