The event began on October 13, 2022, and will end on October 16, 2022. It is being held at the Real Club Valderrama in Cadiz, Spain.
While the Andalucia Masters debuted in 2010, it got canceled in 2012. With the assistance of the 2011 winner Sergio Garcia, it launched in 2017. Since then, the event has been held yearly at the same location as part of the DP World Tour.
The event was previously known as the “Andalucia Valderrama Masters.” It was renamed “Estrella Damm NA Andalucia Masters” in 2019. Matt Fitzpatrick won the tournament last season. At the same time, Min Woo Lee and Sebastian Soderberg shared the runner-up position.

Andalucia Masters 2022 Purse
This year, the total Andalucia Masters 2022 Purse is €3 million. It is the same amount as the previous year. According to the organizers, the top 65 players to make the 36-hole cut will share the prize money. However, players may see a difference in individual prize money based on their standing.
The winner of this year’s event will receive 16.67% of the total prize money, equivalent to €500,000. Last year’s champion, Matt Fitzpatrick, received total prize money of €489,750, which is 2.05% low than this year. The second and third-position holders are expected to get €333,333 and €187,800, respectively.
A total of 132 players participated in the event. Among them, only the top 65 will receive prize money. As such, the expected prize money for 63rd, 64th, and 65th position are €7500, €7200, and €6900, respectively.
