Bermuda Championship 2022 is the 6th golf tournament of the 2022-23 PGA Tour season. One of the tour’s most anticipated annual events, the 2022 Butterfield Bermuda Championship, began on October 27 and will run till October 30.

A relatively new tournament, the Butterfield Bermuda Championship was first established in 2019. Initially, it launched as an alternative to the WGC-HSBC Champions. But recently, it was upgraded to full FedEx Cup standing.
This is the 4th iteration of the annual tournament. The event is held at Port Royal Golf Course in Bermuda every year. A total of 132 players participated in the event.
Bermuda Championship 2022 Purse
Like its previous iteration, the Bermuda Championship 2022 Purse is $6.5 million. As a result, the prize distribution based on placement will remain unchanged from the previous year.
The ongoing PGA Tour event winner will receive a standard winner’s share of 18% of the original prize pool. The winner will receive $1.17 million in prize money at the event. The current title defender, Lucas Herbert, bagged the same amount after winning the tournament last year. Furthermore, 500 FedEx Cup and 20 OWGR points will be allocated in the winner’s name. He will also get a two-plus season exemption from the PGA Tour.
The runner-up will receive $708,500, and the third-place holder will receive a $448,500 reward. Also, only the top 65 players to cut will receive prize money based on their placement. The 63rd, 64th, and 65th-positioned players will receive $14,235, $14,105, and $13,975, respectively. The reward distribution amounts are the same as last year.
