Only Rory McIlroy has won both the BMW Championship in 2012 and the BMW PGA Championship in 2014. He has won two of the three BMW tournaments for men’s golf.
With these two wins, he now has a total of two BMW tournament wins. If Horschel won in Munich, it would be the “triple” of his career.
Some of the best golfers in the world, like Kaymer, Garcia, Oosthuizen, Wiesberger, Rafa Cabrera Bello, the defending DP World Tour Rookie of the Year Matti Schmid, and local favorites Max Kieffer and Marcel Siem, will be competing against the American in Germany.
Viktor Hovland won his first DP World Tour Championship at the 2021 BMW International Open, but he won’t be back to defend his title.

The tournament will begin on Thursday, June 23, and will continue till Sunday, June 26. Here is the full schedule:
