The ongoing CJ Cup 2022 is quickly approaching its conclusion. The tournament began on October 20 and will conclude today with the completion of the running 4th round. Here you will know the CJ Cup purse and payouts.

Sanctioned under the PGA Tour, The CJ Cup was first established in 2017. Since then, the annual event has been held regularly. The tournament is played with a stroke play format over 71 par. Every year, 78 golfers join the event to compete against each other.

This year’s CJ Cup was held at the Congaree Golf Club in Congaree, Hilton Head. Running for 4 days, the event is currently holding its final round. The event features popular international players such as Aaron Wise, Kurt Kitayama, Tommy Fleetwood, and many others. In addition, defending champion Rory McIlroy is present atop the scoreboard.

The CJ Cup 2022 Purse

The total purse for this year’s CJ Cup is $10.5 million. It signifies a rise of 7.15% over last year’s prize pool of $9,750,000. However, the increase is not substantial. Nonetheless, each placement in the ongoing tournament is expected to get a raise over their prize money.

This year’s winner will get $1.89 million in prize money. It amounts to 18% of the total purse for the tournament. Last year, the defending winner, Rory McIlroy, received $1.755 million in prize money.

Additionally, the second and third-place finishers will receive $1.134 million and $714k this year. Collin Morikawa, last year’s runner-up, won $1.053 million in prize money. Keith Mitchell and Rickie Fowler, who shared the third position, each won $565,500. This represents a sharp increase in prize money over last year.

Every participant in the CJ Cup will receive a share of the cash, just like last year. As a result, the 76th placement holder will receive $17,220. At the same time, the 77th and 78th slots are set at $17,010 and $16,800, respectively.
