Fortinet Championship 2022

The PGA Tour season 2022-2023 kicks off on Thursday with the Fortinet Championship 2022. The Silverado Resort and Spa will host the event from 15-18 Sept. Here we have the Fortinet Championship 2022 field, prize money, TV schedule, live stream, and tee times.

  • Competition: Fortinet Championship 2022
  • Location: Silverado Resort and Spa
  • Dates: 15-18 Sept.
  • Prize Money Pool: $8m

Tournament Preview and Field

World no. 16 Hideki Matsuyama headlines the field of the competition. The Japanese finished at T6 last year in the competition. That experience at the Silverado Resort and Spa will make him one of the favorites this year.

World no. 20 Max Homa took home the title last year. That success inspired him to win the Wells Fargo Championship and a top-five finish in the FedEx Cup. Max Homa will return for another success at the Fortinet Championship 2022.

The 156-player field will also include Corey Conners, Cameron Davis, and Taylor Pendrith, who will try to follow in Max Homa’s footsteps.

It will be a 72-stroke game. There will be a cut after 36 holes.

Purse

The golfers will compete for the $8m total prize money pool. There will be a cut after the first two rounds (36 holes), and the golfers making the cut will be on payday.

The winner’s share is a lucrative $1,440,000.
