Open de France 2022: Tee Times, Round 4 Coverage, Purse Payouts

Open de France 2022

Here you will know the Open de France 2022 tee times, TV coverage, schedule, and how to live stream. After a two-year break from the COVID-19 pandemic, the golf competition returns with its 104th edition. It takes place from 22-25 September at Le Golf National’s Albatros Course, France, the course of the 2018 Ryder Cup.

Open de France 2022 Preview

  • Competition: Open de France 2022
  • Location: Albatross Course, Le Golf National, France
  • Dates: 22-25 Sept.
  • Prize Money Pool: €3m
  • Defending Champion: Nicolas Colsaerts

We are just off the excitement of the Italian Open, and the Open de France is already here. Last week’s playoff winner Robert McIntyre is also here with us for back-to-back titles. The Scotchman scored a -14 and beat Fitzpatrick in the playoff to grab the title.

The last time this competition took place was in 2019. Nicolas Colsaerts snapped his 7-year trophy drought to win the competition. The Belgian will look for his first victory after that success.

The field will also include three of the world’s top 50 players – Thomas Pieters, Ryan Fox, and Patrick Reed. The American Patrick Reed has joined the Saudi-backed LIV golf. His participation in this competition is a matter of much controversy.

Course

This week’s competition is taking place at the Albatros Course, Le Golf National. It’s the same course that provided the setting of the 2018 Ryder Cup.

The course has been hosting the French Open since 1991. It’s a par-72 course stretching 7,331 yards.

Purse

The total prize money pool of the competition is €3m. It’s identical to last week’s Italian Open. The winner’s share is a lucrative €500,000.
