The first player on the rank will get $2.7 million. Last year the first year was $2.16 million, Phil Mickelson bring that amount at home. They set the prize money at $1.62 million for the second and $1.02 million for third-ranked players. This year all the golf tournaments raise their prize money. The Players Championship purse was $20 million.

The winner of the tournament is expected to make $2.16 million, or 18 percent of the total prize pot. Second place will make $1,296,000, while third place is expected to make around $816,000.
