PGA is now hosting its second major tournament of the year. This is the 104th edition of the PGA Championship which is taking place in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the Southern Hills.

The 104th edition of the tournament is going to pay a total of $15 million to its players. All the players on the tour will get their share of the prize money. This will be the first time the second major is paying for this much. Last year they pay 12 million dollars to their players.
The first player on the rank will get $2.7 million. Last year the first year was $2.16 million, Phil Mickelson bring that amount at home. They set the prize money at $1.62 million for the second and $1.02 million for third-ranked players. This year all the golf tournaments raise their prize money. The Players Championship purse was $20 million.
How Much Money Does the Winner Get Today?
The winner of the tournament is expected to make $2.16 million, or 18 percent of the total prize pot. Second place will make $1,296,000, while third place is expected to make around $816,000.
