Tournament Preview:

The action begins at TPC Sawgrass on Thursday, with 47 of the top 50 players teeing it off. On Thursday and Friday, several of those players will be partnered together for the opening two rounds of an event that will be plagued by weather, wind, and rain throughout the week in North Florida.

For almost a year, Collin Morikawa has been without a doubt one of the top golfers on the planet. With two major victories under his belt, including the most recent, the 2021 Open Championship, and a Ryder Cup victory, World No. 2 has demonstrated that he is at his best when the stakes are high.

The Players Championship, which Morikawa will compete in for the second time this week, is the next item on his to-do list. He tees off for the first round at 12:56 p.m. ET on Thursday, and he’ll be joined by 2019 Players champion Rory McIlroy and defending champion Justin Thomas for the first two rounds.
