Portland Classic 2022: Preview and Field

The defending champion Jin Young Ko will be the big miss for this year’s competition. World no. 1 withdrew due to a wrist injury.

However, the field will be headlined by world no. 2 Nelly Korda. She will make her debut at the Portland Classic.

We have several past champions in the field. The 2020 champion Georgia Hall, who is the last winner at the Columbia Edgewater Country Club, will be among the favorites.

The field also includes Hannah Green (2019) and Marina Alex (2018). World no. 5 Brooke Henderson, who won the competition twice in 2015 and 2016, will be the hot favorite.

It will be a 72-stroke competition. There will be a cut after 36 holes.

Course

The Columbia Edgewater Country Club was opened in 1925. It’s a par-72 course with stretching of 6,478 yards.

Prize Money Pool

The golfers will compete for the $1.5m total prize money pool. There will be a cut after the first two rounds (36 holes), and the golfers making the cut will be on payday.
