The competition for the Rocket Mortgage Classic includes some of the finest players in the world, including Tony Finau, Max Homa, and Will Zalatoris, amongst others.
The event on the PGA Tour schedule that will take place in Detroit will include 156 different golfers. After the first 36 holes of the competition, the field is narrowed down to the top 65 players and those tied for first place for the remaining two rounds.

This amounts to $1,512,000 out of the total purse money. The winner also receives bragging rights. The field gets narrowed down following the second round of the competition, with players like Tony Finau, Max Homa, and Will Zalatoris among those eliminated.
In addition to his share of the overall payout, the winner of the Rocket Mortgage Classic 2022 will also receive 500 points toward the FedEx Cup. In addition to this, he will receive 26 points toward his Official World Golf Ranking, which will assist him in moving up the rankings.
