The Senior British Open 2022 is going to be held on July 21 at the Gleneagles. Here you will know the prize money and payouts of the tournament.

A cut will be made after 36 holes, and the top 70 players and ties will advance. The Charles Schwab Cup point total can be increased by the amount of money earned throughout this week.
Senior British Open 2022 Purse and Prize Money Payout:
The prize pool for the Senior British Open Championship in 2022 is $2.5 million, with the winner receiving $720,000 of that total.
Each dollar brought in is equivalent to one point scored during the regular season, which can be applied toward the Charles Schwab Cup playoffs in 2022. Only the top 72 players will advance to the next round.
If you win the Senior British Open, you will get more points, which will increase your chances of finishing in the top five at the end of the season. Notably, they will receive a portion of the bonus pool of $2.1 million dependent on where they finished in the competition.
In addition, in contrast to the PGA Tour events, the PGA Tour Champions tournaments do not award points toward the Official World Golf Ranking.
