UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya and Marvin Vettori are set to take on each other once again at UFC 263.

The welterweight strap will be on the line once again in June and the MMA fans can’t wait to see how the main-event contest rolls out. Adesanya clinched a narrow victory by split decision over Vittori the last time they squared off in April 2018.

Vettori feels that he richly deserves another shot against the Stylebender because he was the toughest opponent the UFC champ has ever had in his UFC career.

It will be interesting to see how Adesanya will show his skillset coming on the back of the first-ever loss of his pro MMA career.

He suffered a loss to Jan Blachowicz on his light-heavyweight debut at UFC 258 in March this year. Before the setback, he bagged two title defences against Yoel Romero and Paulo Costa.

As for Vettori, he will be full of self-belief and confidence owing to his sublime run in the promotion. The Italian Dream has been unbeaten since his defeat to Adesanya with consecutive victories over Cezar Ferreira, Andrew Sanchez, Karl Roberson, Jack Hermansson, and Kevin Holland.

Moreover, UFC president Dana White has revealed during The Bill Simmons Podcast that the reason he got Vettori to fight the Stylebender instead of Robert Whittaker.

“It’s looking like Rob Whittaker, who just fought on Saturday night, isn’t going to be ready to fight Israel Adesanya at the time Israel Adesanya wants to fight, so it’ll probably be Marvin Vettori first,” White explained.

It is likely that the Whittaker will fight the winner of Adesanya vs. Vettori.
