Preview:

In a rematch scheduled shortly after Julianna Pena’s stunning second-round submission victory over Amanda Nunes to cap off 2021, Pena will defend her 135-pound championship for the first time against the former bantamweight champion.

Julianna Pena now has the opportunity to show that her initial victory was no fluke when it is re-run as the main event of this Saturday’s UFC 277 pay-per-view (PPV) event.

Reigning UFC women’s bantamweight champion Demetria “Desirable” Nunes is hoping to avenge her loss to Holly Holm and become a two-time champion once again.

UFC 277 Main Event Prediction:

The previous time these two met, Julianna Pena’s self-assurance really stood out. It’s not unusual for competitors to be beaten before they even enter the ring when facing a champion like Nunes.

Amanda Nunes is the most powerful woman in the division, and few can survive a fight with her. Pena, on the other hand, didn’t just survive; she embraced it. She intends to play a role in it again.  Like the first fight, she will win this one too.

Prediction: Pena will win the fight.
