Adam Svensson
Canada’s Adam Svensson returned a 62-10 draw under par on Thursday. Leads the first day of the Barbasol Championship, a tournament that counts towards the PGA Tour.
 
Svensson ranked 158th in the world, and also made seven birdies and a single bogey at Keene Trace Golf Club in Nicholasville, Kentucky.
 
“I hit well, put well, and everything came together,” said the 28-year-old. I feel like it’s going well.”
 
Portugal’s Ricardo Gouveia returned a card of 64. He comes in second place with Frenchman Robin Roussel.
 
Germany’s Matti Schmid, Colombia’s Camilo Villegas, England’s David Skinns, Americans Trey Mullinax, Michael Kim, Max McGreevy, Mark Hubbard, and Bo Van Pelt returned cards of 65.
 
For the first time, this tournament is part of the American PGA and European DP World Tour as is the Scottish Open. It began on Thursday and in which most of the world’s best players take part before the British Open next week in St Andrews.
