Rahmanullah Gurbaz struck an undefeated hundred to earn a crushing seven-wicket win for Afghanistan over Bangladesh in the third and final Afghanistan vs Bangladesh one-day international at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium on Monday.

Rahmanullah Gurbazh smacked a 106 off 110, his third ODI ton while Rahmant Shah and Riaz Hasan concluded with 47, 35 sequently to pull the tourists to 193-3 with 59 balls to go, their first victory in the series.

Mehidy Hasan captured two while Shakib Al Hasan took one wicket.

For the hots, Liton Das played the highest 86 off 113 balls while Mahmudullah chipped with an unbeaten 29.

For the visiting side Rashid Khan claimed 3-37 while Mohammad Nabi bagged 2 and Azmtullah Omarzai, Fazalhaq Farooqi finished with one wicket each to bundle out Bangladesh for 192 in 46.5 overs.

Batting first after winning the toss the hosts lost their opener, Tamim Iqbal, for 11 by Fazalhaq Farooqi lessened them 43-1.

In the second wicket stand, Liton Das and Shakib Al Hasan added 61-run to overcome the initial damage but the partnership ended after the latter was bowled out by AzmatullahOmarzai for 30 off 36 balls.

Liton Das played lone-handedly adding 28 runs with Mamudullah in the fifth wicket stand before he was dismissed by Mohammad Nabi banking his consecutive second fifty in the series to take Bangladesh to 192.

Pursuing a sorry 193Afghanistan opener duo Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Riaz Hasan made an ideal start with forming 79 in this stand.

But they couldn’t carry on the momentum after Riaz Hasangone for 35 off 49 by Shakib Al Hasan.

In the second wicket stand, Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Rahmat Shah added 100 runs to take the side to a daunting 179 before the latter was excluded by Mehidy Hasan Miraz.

But Rahmanullah Gurbaz fought orchestrated the innings single-handedly to earn Afghanistan a convincing seven-wicket win amassing 193-3 in just 40.1 overs.

With the defeat, Bangladesh who have mounted to the top of the ICC ODI Super League points table afresh failed to pick up a full 30 points from the series.
