Alexander Volkanovski
Alexander Volkanovski doesn’t want to drag things out in his fight against Max Holloway at UFC 276.

It’s a highly anticipated trilogy fight between Alexander Volkanovski and Max Holloway. It will take place in the co-main event of this weekend’s UFC 276.”

With the featherweight title at stake, and even though Volkanovski is 2-0 on Holloway, the Australian knows that their second fight was limited. Even if he won by a split decision.

But for the fight that’s coming, Volkanovski doesn’t want it to go that far and plans to test Holloway’s chin:

That would be incredible. I’ve always said, ‘You can’t just be known for your granite chin,’ but at the same time, it’s legendary right now.

And if I could destroy that chin and knock it out, it would be a strong statement because no one has done it yet.

But again, it’s obvious that it knows how to suffer damage, and I mentioned that it couldn’t last forever, so let’s see if it holds up this time.

Max Holloway cannot see this fight going the distance like the first two. He swears to finish in three rounds.

And for Alexander Volkanovski, he will be the one who will end the fight and sooner:

I want to finish it and finish it early, and I think I can do it. And again, I feel that this chin is not indestructible. I don’t want to disrespect him, but that chin must be destroyed.

I know I land on it and have landed on it many times. We’ll see what happens. But if it ends up in all three rounds, I’ll finish.

And if Alexander Volkanovski wins, he may well enter the discussion of the best featherweight fighter of all time.

UFC 276 Adesanya vs. Cannonier, with Volkanovski vs. Holloway 3 in the co-main event. The fight will take place this weekend from the night of Saturday to Sunday, July 3. The event will be broadcast on RMC Sport 2.
