Oleksandr Zinchenko

Arsenal was reportedly trying to bring Ukrainian defender OleksandrZinchenko into the Emirates Stadium. Manchester City and Arsenal finally agree upon a deal to trade Zinchenko for 30 million euros (as per reliable source and transfer guru Fabrizio Romano’s report).

Well, with this signing Arsenal chief Daud Gaspar goes against his previously said word. Though his amazing skill of negotiations saved Arsenal a great deal of money. From two buying deals, Edu managed to reduce £20m cost. They are still looking for new players and this money will be very helpful in case of adding a new player.

Arsenal is spending the busiest time in the transfer window season. Before signing Zinchenko, they signed four other brilliant players into their club. They are forming an amazing team this time to get qualify for the premier league. They have notable actions in the very first week of the summer transfer window season.

Mikel Arteta’s team’s biggest signing of this year is Gabriel Jesus. The Brazilian forward gave an attractive performance in the premier league season with Manchester City. He scored 8 goals and 8 assists in a total of 28 matches.

They signed another younger Brazilian from Sao Paulo, Marquinhos. Then the North London Club went for the Portuguese attacking midfielder Fabio Vieira. Vieira did 14 assists and 6 goals in 27 matches of the last premier league season. He will be one of the main power of Arsenal this season. Arsenal also includes Matt Turner in the club as their new goalkeeper.

These four signings came easily but bringing Jesus format teammate Zinchenko into the Emirates was a bit difficult. Manchester City announced Zinchenko’s name for their pre-season game so that’s why they didn’t want to discharge Zinchenko from his duty.

Anyway, Arsenal successfully got their desired deal. Fabrizio Romano reported that they agree on a £30m deal for the Ukrainian. Arteta spends three years in Man City as the assistant coach of Pep Guardiola. He had his eye on Zinchenko since then and the chemistry between Zinchenko and Arteta will go along perfectly.

In both deals with Jesus and Zinchenko, Arsenal transfer chief Edu showed amazing skills. City first claimed 55 million euros for Jesus but after Edu’s negotiation, they purchase the player with 10 million fewer euros. The same thing happened with Zinchenko too. West Ham was also interested in Zinchenko but Edu seized the deal from West Ham. He manages to set a new deal for Zinchenko which is £10m less than the offered price of West Ham.

That’s how Edu saved 20 million euros for Arsenal. They are now planning to buy Lucas Paqueta, this money will then come very helpful.

Arsenal Chief Edu has broken his own transfer vows:

In an interviews session in April, Edu hinted that they won’t be a busy club in the transferring season. As per Edu’s that time statement, they believed the Arsenal squad is perfectly balanced and they won’t have to buy many players in the next season, perhaps just a one or two.

However, in the current following season, they went with 5 players and also planning to get another. The last time Arsenal failed to qualify for the Premier League. So, this time doing everything to get into the league’s final stage.

Edu’s previous statement was, “Maybe next season we can go to one or two players. Today we find a much more balanced squad.”

“Our planning has already been done, it has already reached the owners. It’s a matter of step by step, how we are going to finish the season and to put in plan the planning that I’m very excited about.”
