Bangladesh made history afresh after they clinch the three-match one-day series against South Africa by 2-1 earning a thrashing nine-win at SuperSports Park, Centurion.

Taskin Ahmed ran rampant with the ball while Tamim Iqbal smacked a superb fifty that guided Tigers to clinch the historical series win with a dominating nine-win wicket over South Africa in the third one-day international at SuperSports, Centurion on Wednesday.

Tamim Iqbal struck 87 off 82 balls while Liton Das chipped with 48 off 57 balls to take the Tigers to 156-1 with 141 balls to spare.

Taskin Ahmed claimed his second career-best 5-35 while Shakib Al Hasan took 2 and Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Shoriful Islam finished with one each to bundle out South Africa for 154 in 37 overs.

For the hosts, Janneman Malann scored the highest 39 off 56 balls while other batters failed to reach the threshold of 30.

Batting first after winning in the toss, South Africa opener duo Janneman Malan and Quinton de Kock made a steady start however they couldn’t carry on the momentum when de Kock gave a catch to Mahmudullah for 12 by Mahidy Hasan Miraz.

In the second wicket stand, Malan and Kyle Verreynne added 20 runs before the latter was dismissed for 9 in by Taskin Ahmed in 12.3 overs.

Set batter Mallan copied the footstep of his freshly departed partner after just two overs later for  39 by Taskin Ahmed.

Subsequently, he bagged David Miller, Dwine Pretorius, and Kagiso Rabada for 16,20,4 respectively to earn his second career-best.

In the lower part, Keshav Maharaj scored 28 off 39 balls to amass 154 for the hosts.

In reply Bangladesh opener duo Tamim Iqbal and Liton Das made a decent start forming 127 in the opening stand before the latter was dismissed for 48 by Keshav Maharaj.

In the second wicket stand, Shakib Al Hasan and Tamim added another 29 runs to earn another epic win overseas after an 8 wicket win Against New Zealand back in January this is the opener of the two Tests.
