Bangladesh U-19 head coach Naveed Nawaz has resigned from his respective post freshly after his charges were finished with a deem ICC U-19 World Cup campaign in the West Indies.

A source of the Bangladesh Cricket Board confirmed that the head coach of the Bangladesh U-19 team has resigned from his post afresh, citing family reasons, while a top official has endorsed that they have received his resignation letter.

‘He informed us that he is unable to continue due to family reasons despite having an eight-month contract left with the BCB.’

The Bangladesh U-19 team, who clinched the title in the 2020 World Cup for the first time, could earn just two victories out of six games in this edition of the Junior World Cup, spotting eighth in the points table.

The BCB appointed the former Sri Lankan cricketer Naveed Nawaz back in July 2018 for a two-year contract; however, he was subsequently rewarded one more year after his success in the 2020 ICC U-19 World Cup in South Africa.
