khabib Nurmagomedov is considered the GOAT of the UFC fight. His legacy is breakable, and no one has yet seen any fighter like him.

But recently, the Brazilian fighter Charles Oliveira’s name came into some talking where people compared Oliveira’s power and ability to fight with Khabib.

Khabib Nurmagomedov was the undefeated world number one fighter when he retired. He defeated all the biggest fighters ever to step into the ring. And every legend like Conor McGregor, Justin Gaethje, Justin Prior, and others have at least lost to Nurmagomedov one time.

The talking of comparing Oliveira with Nurmagomedov started from a UFC interview session. Michael Chiesa and Din Thomas discussed the future and position of Oliveira in the lightweight division. Oliveira has made quite a fantastic career since his debut in the UFC promotion.

When Nurmagomedov went to retirement, Oliveira was not even in the top five ranks. He had then some win record with knockout and back-to-back win record. And Nurmagomedov was in the top place on the ranking board.

But time has changed now. Oliveira is no anymore the old newcomer in UFC. He has now come a long way. When Nurmagomedov was the best fighter in the world and fought at the last step of his career Oliveira then competed with only low-ranked players. None of the opponents was among the top five. And now he has beat top-ranked fighters Tony Ferguson, Michael Chandler, and Dustin Poirier.

Comparing the Brazilian with Nurmagomedov is a right or wrong decision nobody can’t tell for sure. But, most people believe that Nurmagomedov is the most prominent fighter in UFC, and nobody can reach his achievements.

Michael Chiesa talks in support of Oliveira. He says, “I think many people are going to have Khabib [Nurmagomedov] pegged as the all-time great, but I think if you look at his strength of schedule… He goes out there [and] beats Justin Gaethje; he’s plucked off two or three of the same guys that Khabib has fought, so yeah, I could see him running for becoming the lightweight G.O.A.T.”

Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Legacy:

Khabib started his lightweight division with a 16-0 record in the UFC promotion. His fans and everyone were so hyped about him, and he didn’t fail to meet his fan’s education and became the king of UFC. He beat Rafael dos Anjos, Michael Johnson, and Edson Barboza to earn ‘The Eagle’ his first title shot in the company. After winning over Al Iaquinta, he made a 155-pound strap.

Khabib defeated Conor McGregor, Justin Gaethje, and Dustin Poirier considered the best fighter in UFC promotion. And Oliveira beat Dustin Poirier, and if now he gets victory over Justin Gaethje in UFC 274, he may jeopardize the legacy of Khabib.

Din Thomas says about Oliveira, “I think Charles Oliveira has a long way to go before he can be in that goat conversation. We can never forget about his earlier losses; we can never forget that he’s quit in fights. Those are things that will haunt him forever and won’t go away with some big wins. It will take him a minute before he gets to be considered in a goat category.”
