Jake Paul is trying to have a bout with Conor McGregor for the last three years. In a recent interview, he claimed that their fight is inevitable and today or tomorrow it will happen for sure.
In response to this speech, McGregor Twitted that destroy all the possibilities of McGregor vs Paul’s probable fight. UFC legend McGregor branded Paul as a “flop” and “a nobody.” by saying “You are a flop, kid. A nobody.” He said to Paul, “You’ve 2 fights and done 70k buys(with a crying out loud laughing emoji)”.
The YouTuber turned boxer Jake Paul is one of the very famous faces and names in both boxing and MMA platforms. However, the fighter doesn’t count as a serious boxer. He is mostly famous and well known by everyone for his unrealistic comment.
Paul is trying to have a fight with former UFC champion, Conor McGregor, for a long time now. He is trying to fix a date with McGregor since 2020. In Paul’s words, it’s his dream fight however the dream came to fruition. Cause McGregor always turned down all the offers of Paul.
Anyway, ahead of Paul’s new fight with Hasim Rahman Jr. Paul was asked about his chance to share the ring with McGregor and is he still hopes for it or not.
In answer to this, Paul said, “I think for me, fighting a couple more times, continuing to knock some people out, and he must have to get active again, who knows when that’s gonna happen?”
He also added, “I think those two things need to happen and then at some point it’s got to happen.”
“Why not? He’s a businessman. I’m a businessman. That’s $75million to $100 million for both of us.”
In response to this, UFC champion McGregor wrote on his Twitter, “You’ve 2 fights and done 70k buys.”, and then added, “You are a flop, kid. A nobody.”
So, it seems like their dream fight with Paul is not going to happen. Even if it takes place, this will be far in future. To reach there Paul will have to prove himself a worthy opponent of McGregor then hopefully McGregor will change his mind.
Paul was so excited and always talking about the bout last year. But he confirmed by himself after the bout against Tyron Woodley last December that the result is not as good as he thought. He said, “not my best business night(indicating not getting the fight with McGregor).”

McGregor last fought a year ago in UFC 264 against Dustin Poirier. McGregor lost the battle and ended up in the hospital bed with a broken leg. This injury kept him out of the fight for a long time. Recently, he decided to return to the fight again. Fans will soon see McGregor in the octagon but the opponent’s name is not announced yet.
On the other hand, Paul will face Hasim Rahman Jr. on August 6. The bout was originally fixed with Tommy Fury. But he withdraws from the bout cause of visa issues.
