Cristiano Ronaldo

Cristiano Ronaldo was not among the Manchester United players who resumed pre-season practice with new manager Erik ten Hag on Monday morning.

Portugal forward has communicated to the club that he wishes to depart this summer. It is due to play in the Champions League.

His unavailability from practice on Monday was related to family obligations. United accepted this explanation.

Despite Ronaldo’s wish to leave Old Trafford, United maintains that he has a year left on their agreement. The club says that he is not up for sale.

Some United players, specifically those who weren’t important in foreign football last month. They started their preseason schedule under Ten Hag last wee. But the rest of the team arrived on Monday morning.

In addition to Marcus Rashford, Jadon Sancho, Donny van de Beek, as well as Aaron Wan-Bissaka, other stars including Bruno Fernandes and Raphael Varane reported at Carrington around 9 am on Monday.

Ronaldo is interested in leaving United this summer. He feels he won’t be capable of competing for the club’s greatest prizes.

In the latter stages of his career, the 37-year-old feels the need to win even more. But it’s believed he fears it may not be achievable at Old Trafford in the upcoming year. The 2021/22 season marked United’s fifth consecutive year without a trophy.

Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly also disappointed that United hasn’t added any players to the roster during the present transfer window. This summer, the club lost thirteen players, but none have yet to return.
