Imola, Italy – The highly anticipated Emilia Romagna Grand Prix, scheduled to take place at the Imola Circuit, has been officially canceled due to severe weather emergencies.
The Formula 1 community extends its sympathies to the individuals and communities impacted by recent events in the Emilia-Romagna region. In addition, they commend the efforts of the emergency services, who tirelessly work to assist those in need.
Following discussions involving Formula 1, the FIA President, relevant authorities, and stakeholders, including the Automobile Club of Italy, the President of the Emilia-Romagna Region, the City Mayor, and the event promoter, it has been decided not to proceed with the Grand Prix weekend at Imola.

The decision was made due to safety concerns for fans, teams, and personnel, as well as the responsibility to support the affected towns and cities in the region. Given the challenging circumstances the local authorities and emergency services face, it would be inappropriate to add further pressure at this time.
Stefano Domenicali, President and CEO of Formula 1, expressed his sadness for the situation in Imola and Emilia-Romagna, his hometown. He offered thoughts and prayers for the flood victims and affected families and communities. Domenicali also praised the incredible dedication of the emergency services, considering them heroes and a source of pride for Italy.
FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem emphasized that the thoughts of the entire FIA family are with those affected by the unfortunate circumstances in the Emilia-Romagna region. He highlighted that ensuring the safety of everyone involved and supporting recovery efforts are the primary concerns at this time.
