The English giants Liverpool have reached a full agreement with Benfica for signing Darwin Nunez for a €80m transfer fee. According to the reports of the Portuguese journal Record, the transfer fee could end up around €100m with add-ons and bonuses.

Darwin Nunez Transfer Update

The Italian transfer pundit Fabrizio Romano reported on June 8 that Liverpool could make an €80m transfer move for Darwin Nunez with no intention to play around. Now the report from the Record confirms that the Reds are leading the race for signing Darwin Nunez over Manchester United.

The FA Cup and EFL Carabao cup winners Liverpool are sure to see massive changes in their attacking lineups. The Senegalese superstar Sadio Mane will leave the club this transfer window. The German champions Bayern Munich have already approached the striker. Sadio Mane is also on Barcelona’s radar.

On top of that, the Egyptian King Mohamed Salah could leave the club, approaching the final year of his contract.

The 22-year-old Uruguayan striker has scored 34 goals in 41 matches for Benfica this season. He has scored 6 goals in the UEFA Champions League this season and led the team to the Round of 16 ahead of Barcelona. Benfica lost to Liverpool in the quarter-finals by 6-4 goals on aggregate, with Nunez scoring 2 of Benfica’s 4 goals.
