It was an emotional day for the Real Madrid captain Marcelo. He lifted the La Liga title with an honor of the most successful player for Real Madrid. It is probably his last season for Real Madrid in which he bids farewell by lifting the La Liga trophy in front of the home crowd.

Marcelo speaks after winning the La Liga season 2021-2022.

“It’s the most magnificent feeling. We’ve won La Liga as a result of the hard work from the whole team. We have to keep winning. This is the result of hard work, enjoyment, and sacrifice. We’ve managed to win it by combining all the factors.”

“It’s the best thing there is to be able to celebrate with the fans after playing at home. It’s the most incredible thing that a player can experience. It’s a day to celebrate, even though we’re aware that we’ve got an important game coming up, but it’s alright to celebrate and remain focused and motivated for Wednesday.”

Marcelo could add another trophy to his personal cabinet at the end of this season by winning the UEFA Champions League. Carlo Ancelotti’s men have still one eye locked on the UEFA Champions League. They suffered a 4-3 goals defeat against Manchester City in the first leg of the semi-finals.

However, the Los Blancos will host the second-leg, trailing by a goal on aggregate at Santiago Bernabeu on Wednesday. The in-form La Liga Champions will fancy their chances to beat the Citizens and play the final for grabbing their 14th UCL glory.
