Glover Teixeira will defend his title against Jiri Prochazka in the main event of UFC 275 on Saturday, June 11th, 2022.
Michael Bisping, the winner of Season 3 of The Ultimate Fighter a former UFC champion, recently spoke about the main event fight of UFC 275
“For Glover, all he’s got to do is come out and stay on American time. You know he lives on the East Coast [so] he’s got to stay on California time, which you can do, try to sleep all day stay up at night, that type of thing.
“Either way it’s going to be a challenge, but the reality is and I’ve done it myself multiple times either super late or super early in Australia.
“Once that cage door closes and the adrenaline kicks in and you’ve had an early night whichever way round it is, it doesn’t matter if it’s six o’clock, midnight, it doesn’t matter.
“When you’re in the middle of the UFC octagon and you’ve got a world-class opponent that’s going to try and smash your face in and you’ve got 20,000 people watching? Believe it or not, you’re up for the challenge.”
In 2002, Teixeira made his professional debut. Teixeira embarked on a 20-fight winning streak after starting his career 2-2. Teixeira joined the UFC in 2012 and lost the light heavyweight belt to Jon Jones in 2014. He has gone 11-4 since then and is now on a six-fight winning run.
In 2012, Prochazka made his professional debut. In 2019, he won the RIZIN light heavyweight championship. It put him on a 12-fight winning run. Prochazka made his UFC debut in 2020 and last fought in May 2021. He knocked out Dominick Reyes. He has won his last ten fights via knockout.
