Michael Johnson

Michael Johnson knocked out Alan Patrick with an excellent combination in the 2nd round of his fight at UFC Vegas 54.

Before the match, Michael Johnson, 19-17, was in a complicated situation since he had suffered the longest losing streak of his career (4). He had his back to the wall and was forced to win his fight.

The American has found the resources to impose himself. After 3 minutes in the 2nd round, Johnson unleashed a combination of lightning strikes crowned by a left hook that sent Patrick to the mat.

Johnson followed up with two ground strikes, and the referee stopped the match.

Michael Johnson defeated Alan Patrick by KO in the 2nd round at 3:22.

After his victory, Johnson said:

“My performance speaks for itself. The journey was difficult. I was in a dark, dark place. I saw the light and came out of this black hole.

“It still shows people that I’m one of the best strikers in this division. I still have a lot to do, and I will move on to the next step.

Michael Johnson has always been dangerous in the category. He won against Edson Barboza in 2015 and by KO against Dustin Poirier in 2016. He now has a record of 20-17 and has proven that he can still be decisive.
