The untimely passing of a promising mixed martial arts (MMA) competitor Keith Coughlan has sent shockwaves across the combat sports industry.
The body of Keith Thomas Coughlan was apparently discovered in a drainage ditch in Bali. After he was involved in a scooter accident there, as reported by news.com.
It is believed that the local authorities are still investigating whether or not he was driving under the influence of alcohol at the time.
The 26-year-old man is a citizen of Ireland and had been residing in Fremantle. It is located in the Australian state of Western Australia. He was in Bali for the purpose of training.
On the other hand, Coughlan was discovered by a local resident over the weekend on a road in North Kuta at approximately five in the morning on Sunday.
According to the reports, he was lifeless and pinned beneath the wreckage of his scooter when it happened. Coughlan was pronounced dead when emergency personnel arrived at the site, despite their best efforts.
When the police arrived at the site, they allegedly discovered many bottles of alcohol, as reported by Nine News.
