Prime Bank Cricket Club head coach Mohammad Salahuddin left his irritation to the BCB as they have roped Mohammad Mithun and Rejaur Rahman Raja in the Bangladesh flight to the South for the upcoming series despite they have been omitted from the squad.
Prime Bank retained Tamim Iqbal, Mominul Haque, Mustafizur Rahma, Yasir Ali Chowdhury, Shoriful Islam, and Mohammad Mithun from the last season of DPL while adding Rejaur Rahman for the 2021-22 season.
Among them, the former fives have managed their call for the forthcoming series starting on March 18 while Mithun and Rezaur Rahman have been excluded in the tour still the latter duo have been attached to a South Africa bound flight just for their training that discontented the coach a high.
‘The clubs were well informed about the unavailability of the Test players consequently they have designed the team accordingly.’
‘I feel unfortunate that they have roped two players [Mithun, Jaja] from my side who have not been included in the ODI and Test squad.’
He further alleged that after losing five if they need to compensate two more members then it is truly tough to design a team.
‘We already have compensated our six members furthermore if we are two more lack then it’s really onerous to sketch a team.’
‘If they were included in the squad I think it was quite okay they are not even in the squad. They just took away two players from Prime Bank that looked weird to me,’ told an annoyed Salahuddin on Sunday before the media.
The eminent coach also admitted that things are going to be challenging for him still hopeful about a successive campaign of DPl in this season.
To me, it’s difficult and challenging as well. Still, let’s see what happens in the league.
