Bangladesh’s former national team player Mosharraf Hossain Rubel passed away in the afternoon on Tuesday. He was 40 years old.
Mosharraf Hossain’s family sources that the Tigers’ spinning all-rounder has expired on Tuesday afternoon at a city’s United Hospital.
‘Rubel is no more among us. He passed away this afternoon at United Hospital. We are on the way to him,’ said Farid.
The 40-year-old who was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2018 has undergone surgery.
Recently he was admitted to the city’s square hospital after his situation deteriorated. Subsequently, he was released a couple of days back when he improved.
However, on Tuesday, his physical condition worsened anew, and he was taken to United Hospital, where the on-duty physician declared him dead.
Mosharraf Rubel played 5 one-day internationals for Bangladesh and earned 4 wickets alongside 26-runs.
