Bangladesh wicketkeeper batter Mushfiqur Rahim is available for the second T20 international against Afghanistan after he has recovered his finger strain, told Bayzidul Islam Khan the BCB physiotherapist of BCB.

‘Mushfiqur Rahim went through an X-ray following a hit by a ball in his right thumb. We didn’t find any fracture in his finger. Meanwhile, he underwent a  24-hour observation.’

‘He batted against throw down, spin as well as pace bowling on Friday. He is fine now and he will be considered in the second T20.’

The 34-year-old middle-order batter who sustained a strain in his right thumb on Wednesday during the training session underwent a 24-hour observation and was ruled out from the first T20.

Mushfiqur is on the verge of a milestone as with the second and final match of the series he will play his hundred T20Is as a second Bangladeshi batter after Mahmudullah.
