Novak Djokovic passing a hard time in his life. His challenge against not getting the vaccine for Covid-19 has been creating many controversies since 2019. In his word, getting a vaccination should be free will. Novak’s problem with getting the vaccine is he can’t cope with the effects of the vaccine. He is afraid that it will create distractions in his immune system.

Not getting vaccines against Covid-19 has created a lot of issues for the Number 1 ranked player. He wasn’t able to participate in many tournaments for that cause. Especially, the recent Australia Open catch the eyes of everyone. Lots of people thought the AU Open board may change the rule for the Serbian champion. But they didn’t take the side of their defending champion and prevent Novak from entering AU open.

On December 16, Novak provided all his documents which show that he is not infected and recovered from the virus. With these health conditions, he wanted to participate in the tournament and it wouldn’t infect anyone.

Djokovic had to face lots of trouble for this. Two times visa cancellation, two court challenges, and five nights in two stints at an immigration detention hotel where asylum seekers are held. After all this, he was sent to Serb again.

Even though Djokovic isn’t vaccinated yet as of last month, he got his name on the entry list of Indian Wells. His presence in the BNP Paribas is still not sure unless he got a vaccine.

The board says “The guidelines for the players are governed by the protocols established by … the WTA and ATP, as well as any restrictions established by the United States of America in regard to the vaccination status of international travelers entering the country”

List of other players in the 2022 Indian Wells:

Novak Djokovic is the five times BNP Paribas winner. His record is still considered the best in Indian Wells. Though Novak didn’t participate in last year’s BNP Paribas. He was taking preparation at that moment for US Open. Unfortunately, his effort to win the US Open go vain.

He would have made a huge record if he won US Open, good luck to Novak for this year. Since the loss of the US Open, the Serb tennis star didn’t play much. He just played in the Davis Cup. If Novak got his entry clearance in the BNP Paribas then fans will see him after a while. Before going to Indian Wells Novak’s schedule is to participate in the Dubai 500 ATP Tour. Dubai 500 will take place on February 21-26.

In the entry list of Indian Wells, the Australian Open winner Rafael Nadal will also present. Daniil Medvedev, Alexander Zverev, StefanosTsitsipas including top other names are also included in the entry list of Indian Wells. The tournament will take place at the start of March.

The ATP and WTA have no restriction about getting vaccines against Covid-19 to participate in any of their tournament. So, if Novak gets lucky this time we will see him in the most prestigious ATP tournament.
