Bangladesh wicketkeeper batter Nurul Hasan Sohan didn’t leave Dhaka for South Africa yet to take part in the two-match Test series against the hosts to be alongside his ailing wife. However, he is expected to fly on March 23 to play in the Test series starting on March 31.
Despite being included in the Test side the 28-year-old was spotted sweating out on Monday in the training sessions for Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club ahead of their match in the 2021-22 season of Dhaka Premier League.
Surprise Sports further learned that he is expected to play a couple of matches for the side in the ongoing edition of DPL prior to his flight to South Africa.
Bangladesh national team chief selector Minhajul Abedin told reporters that Nurul Hasan is likely to fly on March 23 to encounter the forthcoming series against the Proteas.
‘He is currently staying due to the illness of his wife. He is expected to leave Dhaka on March 23.’
Meanwhile, the Tigers ODI and Test squads have left Dhaka in separate four groups for South Africa where ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan was the last member.
